He looked around, noting a sea of green. "A house in the middle of a forest. Interesting." Blaze murmured before turning his attention toward Ann, "What you just did... How did you do it?"

Ann glared at him only to soften her look frightened of her actions then shook her head. She frantically mumbled and looked down. "I..don't know.."

"I thought you didn't have any powers." He began walking toward the forest, regularly looking back - checking for any further signs of life.

"that's what i thought.." She answered unsure to follow behind him. "I'm a monster.." Ann looked down and grunted from her injured hand.

"No!" He shouted, stopping - turning to look at her, "You're not... You're like me."

His shout scared her and she flinched "I-I'm..sorry.."
"Maybe I am.." Ann stood there and fiddled her feet on the grass and kept pressure on her hand to keep it from bleeding anymore.

His attention focused on the wound she was given, "We need to find a healer. I think I know the right place - where we actually fit in." Blaze grinned as he said this, before walking ahead.

Ann took a step forward then paused. "Y-you want me to follow..?...I mean i don't want to be a burden or pebble in your shoe.."

"Well, do you want your hand fixed or not?" He frowned, slightly rolling his eyes.

She sighed and began to walk staring at the ground quietly. Ann though wasn't sure it was safe for her to follow him.

"Anyways," He said as he began walking, "This place is where we belong - it has a whole civilization like us there." Blaze looked back - walking backward now - "Everything is gong to be fine."

Ann glanced at him and nodded. "I hope so.." She said quietly "maybe i can get cleaned up..."

"Certainly." He turned around, delving into the forest as shadows enveloped their presence, darkness looming over their bodies. "This healer is an... old friend."

"oh..its nice to have friends to turn to when you need help" She says with a quick smile that fades as Ann walks following Blaze. "it must be nice.."

Blaze glanced at her and began chuckling, 'This person... I wouldn't classify her as a 'friend.'" He veered onto the wide path which led to a crossroad. He took a left turn and went straight ahead.

"oh.." Ann answered a bit confused then continued to follow behind bracing her hand. "are we near..?"

"Kinda." He ran his hands along the tree trunks which surrounded him, looming over their presence more than ever now. As they moved through the forest, more and more trees appeared - varying in appearance as their trek lengthened.

"I use to be scared of forests when i was little..I use to have nightmares of being lost in one forever.." Ann said while walking behind him.

"I got lost in here one time - when I was six." He mumbled, looking for another cross road as he walked, scouting the endless arrays of green and brown with his eyes.

Ann frowned and continued to walk behind him. "but you got out alright.." She said and grunted. the pain in her hand got worse

"I guess I did." He grumbled as he heard a twig crack in the distance. "We're awfully near." He commented, hearing faint running in the distance.

She nodded painfully and noticed her blood wasn't red anymore. It was black and thick leaking out her palm.

Abruptly a weed wrapped itself around Blaze's leg, pinning him to the ground instantly. A thick weed was shovedi in his mouth, disabling his ability to talk. "Get to the ground, girl." A voice beckoned from the shadows.

Ann grunted and looked toward the shadows and did so but her eyes glowed red. "Why...?" she said staring.

"Now!" The voice roared as vines snapped from nearby trees, pulling at her arms and legs.
