"I sure do know how bad assassins can be. They've been hunting me down ever since..." He clicked his fingers as flames danced around his arm, "Ever since they found out I could this." He looked away, the shadows shading his screwed up facial expression.

Ann stared at the flames and blinked a few times until a little smile came to her face feeling a little warmth from them. "you seem to be very use to it.."

"I found out I could do this when I was five." The flames curled around his arm, slithering up his ripped tunic before slithering up his neck. Blaze smiled, splaying his other hand as another flame crawled around his arm. "I'm immune to flame."

"thats..quite amazing really" She watched and smiled. "My mom could move things with a wave of her hand..my dad could conjure up metals and weapons.." Ann explained with a dull face

"And you think you can do nothing?" He asked, shuffling closer to Ann as he was filled with instant curiosity. "You can't summon ice or move things with you mind? Or possibly conjure creatures or create illusions?"

"I..can't do anything such as that..nothing has happened out of the blue for me its always just been me running" Ann replied and kept her distance from him.

Blaze noted her discomfort with him moving closer and instantly stopped, "I need some rest, talk to you tomorrow if I'm still alive." He smiled one last time before flopping over the bags of rubbish, closing his eyes as the flames faded into the damp air.

Ann nodded then stayed curled up but fell asleep in that position for the rest of the night. While she slept rather than feeling scared she had a sense of safety having someone with her.

Blaze woke up with a startle, the sounds of swords being sheathed made his heart skip a beat. His eyes flickered open slowly, a yawn emanating from his dry mouth which was parched because of the lack of water he had received over the past few days. He looked around, stretching his arms, only to see guards parallel from his position, guarding the streets whilst holding large swords, giving them that extra strike of authority.

Ann too woke up and stared at the guards with fright it would seem she was shrinking in fright curled up. "n-no...I should've left earlier..." She said quietly "This must be it..."

"We need to go." He murmured, noticing the guards hadn't acknowledged their existence yet, due to themselves being hidden in the shadows.

She nods and looks at him "which direction?" Ann asks quietly getting herself ready to move quickly.

"Just grab my hand." He muttered, shuffling closer to her, making sure he kept to the darkness so both their locations were discreet.

Ann looked at his hand unsure but then grabbed it. "alright.." She looked away to calm herself down from being scared.

He gulped, unsure if he should do this or not - it was the only way he could escape. Blaze crouched slightly before placing his free hand on the ground as fire began engulfing the arm he wasn't touching Ann with. The flames curled around his body, avoiding his fingers which were being touched. The guards turned slowly, their eyes widening as Blaze and Ann vanished in thin air.

A muffled crash sounded as the two hit a wooden floor hard, hitting head first.

The flames made Ann look away closing her eyes tight making sure to keep a hold of Blaze's hand. All she could hear was her heavy breathing afraid to open her eyes to see what has happened and where they were.

"Where the hell are we..." He muttered, mainly talking to himself. Blaze sprung to his feet, running his hand along an antique cupboard, staring down a long corridor. "Looks like some sort of... house."

Ann opened her eyes slowly and looked around still crouched down. "A house..this house looks familiar.." She stood up balancing her self then walked around quietly. "very..but..then again i've seen allot of houses.."

Blaze frowned slightly, rubbing a palm along his forehead, "I really didn't get enough sleep." He moaned as he began walking toward a plain, wooden door.

"here.." Ann handed him a little water pouch "this might help you seemed a little dehydrated..and dont worry about me i have a few more hidden away." Soon she turned away and continued to look around to find some kind of landmarking to help find out where they were.

Blaze smiled, muttering a thanks as he gulped the water instantly, returning the bag to her before quietly opening the wooden door, the action being replied with an eerie creak.

She grabbed it back from him and put it away in her pocket. Ann followed behind him and made sure nothing was behind them. "I hope this place is safe..." Ann said softly as she walked.

"I hope this place is empty." He added, as he moved down a spirally case of steps, running his hand over the wall once again, picking up a thin layer of dust.

Ann looked at her dirty bare feet compared to Blaze's covered feet. It only dawned on her now how different they living styles were. The only thing they had in common was the running and that people wanted them dead. Looking around she swallowed hard and kept a little distance behind him still a little unsure of how to proceed him.

Blaze scowled, noting how long the staircase was. "Sorry, Ann." He said grinning as he jumped down the stairs, landing a dozen meters below where the stair case ceased, leading to a small room which was filled with lots of whirring machines and pistons.
