Tarvo jumped into the water first. He swam under the water for a bit then lifted his head to make sure Karin was following. The cold water sent shivers up his spine.

Karin followed after him and swam as fast as she could following him, she let her head break the water to gasp for air, she could now hear their pursuers.

Tarvo quickly began to swim again. He guided Karin into the cave that was hidden by the waterfall. He hauled himself onto the rocks and helped Karin out of the water, quickly pulling her into a dark corner of the cave. "Stay, don't leave this spot until I get you. Okay?"

Karin looked at him worriedly. "What are you gonna do?"

"I don't have time to explain. You just have to trust me." Before Karin could ask him anything else, he left, diving into the water and swimming towards the bank.

Karin looked after him worriedly.

Tarvo hauled himself onto the bank and ran into the forest, deliberatly leaving a trail behind him to be followed. Small trees cut him as he ran carelessly through the woods, leaving a blood trail as well as footprints behind him.

Karin stayed there, waiting worriedly.

Tarvo climbed a tree, waiting for his followers to come to the area he now occuped. It wasn't long before they came into view. Tarvo grabbed an arrow and jumped from the tree onto the fist man, jabbing the arrow into his neck. He was dead. Tarvo then moved onto the second man, the one he had shot in the hand. He cut this man in various places with difficulty. He was fast. It took a great deal of effort to kill him.

Tarvo pulled himself off of the second man, who was now dead and ran, placing the arrow back in it's quiver as he ran. It didn't take long to reach the waterfall again. He jumped in the water without hesitation and swam back to Karin. He hauled himself back onto the rocks, exhausted.

Karin hurried to his side. "Are you alright?" She asked immediately, kneeling next to him.

"Fine. Just sore and tired."

Karin let out a breath of relief. "Thank God, you have no idea how worried I was."

Tarvo tried to sit up. "Yeah. I think I do." He stood on hands and knees, trying to stand.

Karin put a gentle hand on his shoulder. "You should rest, you can barely stand."

Tarvo shook his head. "No. we need to get somewhere safe." He stood, his legs shaking, took a step and fell back to his hands and knees.

Karin knelt beside him again. "See? If you're like this you can't even swim out of the cave."

"I have to try," he said, gritting his teeth. He tried to stand again, managing to make it to the corner of the cave that Karin had been hiding in before falling again. He turned and rested his back against the rocks.

Karin knelt beside him and looked at him worriedly. "Please Tarvo, just rest."

Tarvo leaned his head against the rocks. "Alright," he whispered. "Alright." He shut his eyes and took deep breaths. His tribal paintings had faded to almost nothing.

Karin was amazed, she had hardly seen what he really looks like under all the tribal painting, she was struck by how beautiful and handsome he was, if he had been a normal boy and went to her school he would have been the school's idol.

Tarvo' pale skin showed the cuts that the branches had made on his arms and chest. They stung a little but he didn't notice over the grogginess of his mind after being so exhausted. It wasn't too long before he fell asleep.

Karin looked at his cuts sadly and then while he was asleep she took off her tank top so she was only in her bra and used it to clean the blood from his cuts. "I wish I had a first aid kit..." She muttered.

Tarvo stirred in his sleep, wincing at the pain and turned onto his side. He wasn’t dreaming this time, but he had fears swirling through his groggy mind.

Karin continued none the less.

Tarvo covered his head with his arm. His eyes opened at the pain. He mumbled something that wasn't heard by Karin but he knew she would figure out he was cursing.
